ABOUT US
Sugar Heal is a collective of healers who came together in 2020 with the goal of improving birthing expectations and outcomes in our community.
We believe it is every person's birthright to have free access to high-quality, culturally competent, holistic maternal health care.
Sugar Heal birthing services include but are not limited to midwifery, doula services, acupuncture, acuvibrational therapy, intuitive guidance readings, vSteam, postpartum meal delivery and chiropractic care.
Care plans are designed according to the unique needs of each client and the physical, mental and emotional well being of both birthing partners and the entire family are taken into consideration.
Our support includes fertility services, pregnancy care, birthing services, breastfeeding support as well as in-home postpartum care for every type of birth including live birth, c-section, preterm birth, NICU support, still birth, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion and more.
We are dedicated to maintaining the health and wellbeing of our practitioners so we are pouring into community from chalices overflowing with wellness, nourishment, joy, abundance, beauty and brilliance.
We believe birth workers must be compensated fairly for their services and require adequate rest and recuperation to avoid burnout.
The collaboration amongst practitioners at Sugar Heal is giving rise to a new model of maternal health care which we are finding increasingly more effective in disrupting routine medical interventions that may increase the risk of harmful outcomes for mothers and babies.
We are developing a birth worker training program in order to train others in our unique approach to maternal health care in the hopes of impacting wide-scale and lasting change in the US. If you are interested in updates on birth worker training click here.
We are fundraising to establish a Healing House in the city of Los Angeles in order expand into community life, events and culture amongst the families we serve. Donate here to help us reach our goal.

Gangster. Profiles.
Sugar Heal Gang was conceptualized in 2019 by Los Angeles musician, Colleen Lovejoy, in order to join forces with other healers she knew and trusted and reimagine what healing looks like in their community. The Black Maternal Health Fund was initiated by the collective of healers in 2020 in order to provide essential health services to BIPOC families who were choosing to birth outside of hospitals due to long-standing health care bias exacerbated by the global pandemic. In her private practice, Seline Vibes, acuvibrational therapy is used to address mental, physical, emotional and energetic imbalances in individuals and couples. Her innovative maternity care protocols have been used for miscarriage prevention, pre-term labor prevention, regulating heart rate, reducing blood pressure, natural labor induction, restarting stalled contractions, clearing infection, breastfeeding support, natural pain management and more. profile: Colleen Lovejoy gang name: "Coco Vibranium" based in: Los Angeles, CA origin: Bay Area sun sign: Gemini power element: Lightning weakness for sweetness: Chocolate Pudding "Wired for Rebellion" |
