Health Fund

This fund was started by members of Sugar Heal Gang health collective in 2020 to help a friend raise money to access midwifery care at a birth center so she didn’t have to return to a doctor who was disrespecting her rights. To date we have raised $1.5M from private funders, grants and crowdfunding, using it to provide free holistic maternity services to 150 birthing families provided by a network of over 30 Black and Indigenous health providers.
